If you finish early, check your answers, then turn your quiz over. Begin proofreading you answers to the questions in your flip chart. Make corrections where you made errors.

6. Homework: O f all the reasons for failure at colonization, which do you think was the most important? Why Did Ralph Lane's behavior toward the Native Americans strengthen or weaken the colonists position? Explain and justify your position. What were the long-term consequences of Walter Raleigh's efforts at colonization?

11. Homework: 1. Complete the locating a colony hand-out. Use your everything you have learned from the previous 3 lesson to make thoughtful decisions. 2. Explain why you would select a certain region to settle. Be sure that your reason correlates to the characteristics of that region. or 3. Choose one of the 13 colonies to settle, research that specific colony and create an advertisement drawing settlers to your colony. Be sure to include accurate information about geography, native americans, resources, and climate. Advertisments should be eye- catching and provide information with a limited number of words.
