8 Year 5 Website club In year 5 website club we have been doing a page about Great North East Inventors. The inventers we are learning about are: William Armstrong Charles Parsons Robert Stephenson George Stephenson Joseph Swan William Armstrong invented Hydroelectricity. He also put the machine in the Swing Bridge on the Tyne.

9 Charles Parsons invented the Steam Turbine. He put one in a ship called the Turbinia and it is in the Discovery Museum in Newcastle upon Tyne. Robert Stephenson invented the high bridge on the Tyne. Year 5 Website club

10 George Stephenson invented the Locomotive (Train). One of them is called the Rocket. Joseph Swan invented the Light bulb. There is a lot more invented things but that’s It from us.
