WP1 –On-site leak search and repair

BEST GUESS SCHEDULE: 1 - Applicable methods for leak detection and finding (Definition / Standardization) Mainly collecting and organizing information, plus competing the existing one: up to September (except for potential “exotic” techniques) 2 - From “Leak Rate” to “Fluid Loss” ( Definition / Standardization) Literature analysis to be completed but a lot of information already collected The preparation of a test bench can start in late-August in PH/DT, 2-3 months for systematic execution of tests 3 - Understanding “in situ leak repair” Waiting for documentation from Jason Tarrant (promised for this week): difficult to plan without it. 4 - Tests Probably meaningful start beginning of 2010. WP1 –On-site leak search and repair

4. RESOURCES: 1 Technician available from PH/DT as from end-August Part-time activity for “Eng-Staff 2” in PH/DT + P. Petagna Help and support from “gas” section agreed If needed, injection of some time from one PH/DT fellow Collaboration with TE and Napoli (+ RAL if still available) WEAKNESS: Unknown decision of M.
