 Overall GPA above 3.75  Monthly meeting attendance  $15 dues  2 community service projects (and write-up) each semester.  Forms are available after the meeting, or can be download from the NHS website.

 Late Dues – Probation letter stating late dues, one week to pay, then scheduled hearing to discuss possibility of NHS dismissal.  Missing Meeting – Automatic probation for one unexcused meeting, then scheduled hearing to discuss possibility of NHS dismissal.  Missed Service Project – Probation entails making up project following semester, then scheduled hearing to discuss possibility of NHS dismissal.  GPA < 3.75 – Probation is one semester to raise GPA, then scheduled hearing to discuss possibility of NHS dismissal.

 If you haven’t turned in dues, you have one week before being placed on probation.  Mr. Chamberlin has a list of students who have not paid their dues.  2 projects are due by the end of the 2 nd semester and must have a picture accompanying them.  One project must take at least 4 hours to complete.  If your project is for a class, it doesn’t count.  Tutoring, Honors Band, etc.

 Check your school email.  This is how Mr. Chamberlin contacts you about service opportunities and other pressing matters.  You are only allowed to have one unexcused absence.  If you can’t make it to a meeting, tell Mr. Chamberlin before the day of the meeting.  Make sure you receive a ticket from Ruby and return it with your name on it or you will be marked absent.

 Check the NHS website often.  This is where Mr. Chamberlin posts service projects.  This is also where you can sign up for projects such as the Fall Blood Drive.  It’s also where you will be able to check if you have completed all of the requirements and your meeting attendance (coming soon).
