Google forms Using Google forms to collect survey responses

What you need  A Google (GMAIL) account.  Your CSUMB account will give you access as well  A good survey questionnaire

What we use Google forms for  We use Google forms® in the same way that we use SurveyMonkey®. That is, to distribute questionnaires  Google forms will not help you crate a questionnaire. A poorly designed questionnaire will still be useless whether is delivered through Google forms, SurveyMonkey® or a piece of paper.  You should get to google forms, SurveyMonkey®, or paper only after you have carefully designed the survey and the items that will be in the questionnaire.

Benefits of using Google forms  Google forms is free (if you have a free Gmail account)  It can distribute as many questionnaires as you have contacts in your inbox, Facebook, tweeter, and G+ instantly.  It collects the data into a spreadsheet that is ready for analysis.  It even provides some descriptive analysis for you.

Cons. of Google forms (when compared to SurveyMonkey®  Does not give you the option to control that respondents only answer the questionnaire once.  Many respondents may worry about the anonymity and confidentiality of responses in a free service like Google.
