4. Scaling Up Treatment l MoU with MOH signed on April 22 2004 l According to agreement with IDA, emergency and regular drugs will be in Ukraine this month l Non-ARV and lab specifications were approved by international tender committee l Decision on 3 calls for proposals at final stage

Granting l 18 grants with existing partners signed/in process of signing for the total amount of 2,706,814 USD l 41 implementing partners are continuing to provide services according to the programme objectives l One-off grant for AIDS Memorial day was successfully implemented in 16 regions and 23 cities and towns throughout Ukraine

6. Identifying New Partners l Proposal review committee procedures developed l 3 Calls for Proposals issued on treatment l New implementing partners to be identified through competitive process with about 30 competition announcements l Regional focus on 8 priority regions is a cross-cutting issue for all components

Communications, Co-ordination and Partnership l Regular programme updates to stakeholders and wider public at various meetings and special events (media fair, press conferences etc) l Activities on joint communication strategy, M&E and other areas are coordinated with national and international agencies and the UN technical working group l In-house cross team coordination
