BMES Blood Drive ◦Date: January 25th, 2016 ◦Time: 9am - 5pm ◦This Blood Drive organized by BMES and the Central Ohio Red Cross will help restock the shelves for a dwindling blood supply to provide life to those in need. ◦Number of Volunteers Needed: 14 (2 volunteers per shift) ◦ Setup: 9:00 - 10:10 am ◦ Registration/Recruiting: 10:10 - 11:20 am FULL ◦ Registration/Recruiting: 11:20 am - 12:30 pm ◦ Registration/Recruiting: 12:30 - 1:40 pm FULL ◦ Registration/Recruiting: 1:40 - 2:50 pm ◦ Registration/Recruiting: 2:50 - 4:00 pm FULL ◦ Clean-Up: 4:00 - 5:00 pm ◦SNACKS will be provided ◦If interested, please contact: Yaadata Abdalhalim or Bernard CookYaadata Abdalhalim Bernard Cook

The 2016 Leadership Summit ◦Date: January 30th, 2016 ◦The 2016 Leadership Summit is a one-day leadership immersion event that presents the opportunity to uncover your strengths and explore different branches of professional mastery. ◦Number of Volunteers Needed: 36 ◦Volunteering can be broken down to 1-2 hour shifts ◦ Student Check-in: 12:00 PM-1:30 PM ◦ Room Host: 1:00 PM-3:15 PM ◦ Room Host: 3:00 PM-5:15 PM ◦ Runners: 12:30 PM-7:30 PM ◦ Tear Down: 7:00 PM-9:30 PM ◦SNACKS will be provided ◦If interested, please contact: Yaadata Abdalhalim or Georgia C. The OSU BME I&R Symposium ◦Date: February 5th, 2016 ◦This showcase presents exemplary research from graduate and undergraduate students pursuing biomedical engineering research and facilitates fruitful exchanges between students, faculty, industry representatives, and the public. ◦Number of Volunteers Needed: 16 ◦Volunteering will be in 1-2 hour shifts ◦10am -12pm (Room setup in BRT and DHLRI) (4 volunteers) ◦12:30am-1:30pm (poster setup in BRT) (4 volunteers) ◦ 3pm-4pm (bringing out coffee (2 volunteers) ◦ 4pm-5pm judging slips (making sure that slips (2 volunteers) ◦ 5-6 (tear down in BRT) (4 volunteers) ◦If interested, please contact: Yaadata Abdalhalim or Dorma FlemisterYaadata Abdalhalim Dorma Flemister

Director Positions Open o We are still looking to appoint the following positions: o Director Of Special Events o Director of Volunteering

Arch E Week April 4 th -8 th Orgs will be given 15-30 Volunteer hours for planning an event, depending on how much time and planning is required. Examples of events are: pizza nights, trivia, different sports tournaments, night time social events, daytime food events (faculty breakfast, lunch on knowlton patio, etc.) Priority will be given to orgs that have planned events in the past EVENTS WILL BE FULLY FUNDED BY E COUNCIL Submissions are due a week from today (1/26) If approved, you will be notified next week and will be required to attend a very brief meeting after the next E council meeting (2/2) ONLY SUBMIT EVENTS THAT YOU ARE POSITIVE YOU CAN PLAN. Ask Erin or Travis if you have any questions!
