9.  Irrigation=how H2O is distributed to crops.  Often wasteful bc much evaporates or soaks into the ground before getting to the crops.  Pesticides used to kill insects often poison the water and soil.

10.  Biosphere=collection of plants and animals that live on Earth.  Made up of many ecosystems=a place shared plants and animals that depend on one another for survival.  Biodiversity=the variety of plants and animals living on the planet.  Is shrinking due to pollution and deforestation
