3. How do webcams work? It captures light through a tiny lens called a charge coupled device. The C.C.D converts images in front of the camera into a digital format, then taking it to your computer through U.S.B cables. The U.S.B cables then take the image to the internet from the webcam. Then it uploads it to your computer. Some webcams are built into the computers.
