2 BIOGRAPHY Born June 3, 1986 in Manacor, Spain; he also lives there today Overall 13 Grand Slam Championships Current World Number 1 Taught by his uncle, Toni, at a young age; still his coach today Still alive today-27 years old A Rafa le gusta practicar deportes. Rafa es muy talentoso.

3 ACHEIVEMENT ONE Rafa has won the most French Open titles ever with 8. He is called “King of the Clay” which is the surface the French Open is played on. It is his best surface to play on. His speed and defensive play helps him be successful at Roland Garros(French Open). Rafa es deportista. A Rafa le gusta jugar al tenis.

4 ACHIEVEMENT TWO Rafa had a partially torn patella tendon in 2012. He missed the Olympics, US Open, and 2013 Australian Open. He came back to win the next three Grand Slams in 2013 (French, Wimbledon, US Open). It is very rare to win 3 consecutive Grand Slams. Rafa es muy trabajador. Rafa gana muchos campeonatos.

5 WHY I CHOSE RAFAEL NADAL I chose Rafael Nadal because he is an amazing tennis player. I also play enjoy playing tennis as a hobby. Me gusta practicar deportes. Yo juego al tenis. Rafa is strong, athletic, and talented, which makes him one of the greatest tennis players ever, probably the best ever from Spain. He will most likely go on to win many more championships in years to come and make it to the Tennis Hall of Fame. Rafa is a great athlete who will go on to be a legend.
