4. 1956 1975 1981 1982 through 1990 2000s On October 18, 1956 I Was Born. I was stripped of my citizenship in 1975 at the age of 18 I Became a U.S. Citizen in 1981 I won 18 Grand Slam singles titles, 31 major women's doubles titles (an all-time record), and 10 major mixed doubles titles. She reached the Wimbledon singles final 12 times, including nine consecutive years from 1982 through 1990, and won the women's singles title at Wimbledon a record nine times. on January 9, 2008, I had my Czech citizenship restored. i stated that I did not renounced my U.S. citizenship nor did I plan to do so and that the restoration of my Czech citizenship was not politically motivated

5. I came to America because I wanted to play Tennis for the US. Some say I am the greatest Singles, Doubles and mixed Doubles player Who has ever lived.

6. My port of entry into America was to Florida. I had a tennis championship there in 1973 at the age of 16.

8. I was told by the Czechoslovakian Sports Federation that I was becoming too Americanized and that I should go back to school and make tennis secondary …… I thought that was ridiculous and stayed playing tennis in America.

9. I'm not any religion. I don't know if my mother is Catholic or not. But I believe in the existence of a higher power. I believe there is one big God out there. I don't go to church. It's how you behave in life, not whether you go to church and pray, that makes you a worthy human being.

10. The Americans Love me ! The U.S asked me to play in there Association when I was only 16 years old. I wasnt really known there until I was 18 turning professional in Tennis.
