3 Some subjects are so difficult. There is too much homework. I will be punished if I refuse to finish my homewrok independently. Watching TV and playing computer games are not allowed. Curled( 卷 ) or dyed (染) hair cannot be tolerated.

4 My out-of-class reading book has been taken away by Miss Song. Mobile phone cannot see the sunlight. I have just a little time to sleep. I get weight this month.

5 If there is a person called “ 十万个怎么办 ” , how can you turn to him for help? When asking for advice: State your problem clearly Ask for help directly and clearly Modal verbs are often used (can/should/have to/must/had better… )

6 Can/could you give me some advice? What can/should I do? How can I/should I...? Should I...?

7 Trouble: I often feel tired and fall sleep in class. What should /can I do?

8 You should: Go to bed early. Take exercise. Be in good mood.

9 I can’t understand what the teachers say in many classes.

11 When giving advice: Ask questions to make sure you fully( 完全 )understand the problems. Show your sympathy( 同情 ) to the people asking advice. Use modal verbs such as should or must, phrases such as make sure, or imperatives( 祈使句 ):

12 2.Give advice:  You should/must talk to Miss Song about it.  You should make sure to study hard.  Take exercise at your spare time. 1.Show sympathy: I'm sorry to hear that. I hate it when that happens! I know just what you mean!
