Put the papers on your desk away in the SS section of your binder On a Post-it, write the latitude and longitude coordinates for an island, then stick it to the map. When finished, take out your IRP book and read.

3 Lesson 2.3 VOCABULARY DRILL Paleolithic (noun) Old Stone Age, the earliest period of human development and is characterized by the use of stones for tools. Made up of many different species of humans, and ending with only homo sapiens around Nomad (noun) member of a group of people who have no fixed home and move according to the seasons from place to place in search of food, water, and grazing land. Now use each term in a sentence or sketch a picture

10 Where did they live? did not stay in one place at a time. lived in tents or just on the ground.

11 What were their families like? traveled in tribes. tribes provided protection and help.

12 What kind of food did they eat? Berries, nuts and meat. Called hunters-gatherers ◦They searched for food. Moved around following animals.

13 How did they hunt? paleolithic – old stone age first humans to use stones for weapons.
