5 73 and 74 Team Mr.Carruthers and Ms. Dykeman + Students are responsible for their own work. + Homework is a family issue. + Homework is listed in the agenda and homework website daily. + Students who do not complete homework will miss out on special events that happen within the school. + Students who do not complete homework fill out forms that parents may see at parent teacher. + Homework is not part of our 10 Point System. + Not doing homework on a regular basis causes students not to meet outcomes.

7 73 and 74 Team Mr.Carruthers and Ms. Dykeman There are a wide variety of activities that students, even the sevens, can be part of. They range from sports, drama, technology, yearbook, committees, newspaper, etc.. We encourage all students to be part of the school community. Participants are recognized at the end of the year assembly, receiving certificate showing their involvement.

B Student consistently demonstrates achievement of most of the learning outcomes. Work meets the expected standard of achievement. C Student consistently demonstrates achievement of some of the learning outcomes. Work approaches the expected standard of achievement D Student consistently demonstrates achievement of some of the learning outcomes while not demonstrating achievement of others. 9 73 and 74 Team Mr.Carruthers and Ms. Dykeman Highlights: Each student is given 10 points. They lose points for inappropriate behaviour. ( See Code of Conduct, pg 10.) Teachers may deduct 2,3 or 4 points depending on the severity of the action. Step1. Parents receive a call from the teacher who deducted the points. Step 2. Loss of 4 points. Receive an afterschool detention. Step 3. Loss of 8 points. Parents contacted by office and will serve a ½ day in school suspension. Step 4. Loss of 10 points. 1 Day Suspension, then 3 days, then 5 days, then SAC. Getting Points. After losing all 10 points a student will earn back 3 points to start. All students who lose points will earn back 2 points a week if there are no incidents. Page 9 in student agenda.
