2 Defintion  In classical music Motet is the name given to a number of highly varied chorale music composition.  It is sung a capella  It is a noun….  It has polyphonic textures  It is in Latin and religious  Anthem is the English and Protestant version of Motet

3 Where does it originate?  The most common belief to the where Motet originates from is the Latin word movere, which means ‘to move’.  It is from the Rennaisance period
