3 Coby’s Story  Two surgeries  At home antibiotics and chemo-12 times  Mouth sores  Bleeding ulcers  Hair loss

6 Problem  5,330 people diagnosed each year.  Treatment, but no cure.  Most common treatments are: --Chemotherapy --Induction Therapy --Radiation Therapy --Stem Cell Transplant

7 Symptoms  Fatigue  Abnormal bleeding  Excessive bruising  Weakness  Reduced exercise tolerance  Bone/Joint pain  Infection  Fever  Abnormal pain “fullness”  Enlarged spleen, lymph nodes, and liver

8 What is Leukemia?  Increased amount of white blood cells  These cells are found in lymph nodes, blood, bone marrow, and other organs.
