Form Teacher Guidance Period
The objectives of FTGP are to: 1) provide quality interaction time between form teachers and pupils, and 2) equip pupils with social and emotional competencies.

Programme for Active Learning (PAL) 2016
PAL facilitates the holistic (well-rounded) development of students in five learning domains (cognitive, moral, social, aesthetics and physical) Development of social emotional competencies.

Objectives PAL aims to develop character and useful life- skills by providing Primary 1 and Primary 2 students with early exposure to different modular activities.

It also provide them the opportunities to develop confidence and forge new friendships.

PAL 2016 P1: Mondays, 7.45 a.m. – 9.45 a.m. P2: Thursdays, 7.45 a.m. – 9.45 a.m. PAL modules are experiential in nature and incorporate learning in a creative, fun and enjoyable way. At the end of Primary 2, all students would have been exposed to at least 8 different modules, from two main areas of Sports and Outdoor Education, and Performing and Visual Arts.

Students are promoted to P2 and remains in the same class regardless of results. Pri 2 Bite sized tests throughout the year. One major exam at the end of the year. HA – 60% SA2 – 40% 19

Conduct Grades for 2016 Conduct Grade Number of Points
Conduct of Student Excellent 120 and above An outstanding student who consistently displays positive behaviour and embodies the school values with pride. Very Good 100 – 119 A well-rounded student who exhibits positive behaviour most of the time. Good 85 – 99 A student who behaves appropriately at times but has committed several minor offences. Fair 70 – 84 A student who needs guidance to behave appropriately and has committed minor and major offences. Poor 69 and below A student who needs supervision, monitoring and counselling due to repeated misbehaviour, including committing several major offences.

In addition to issuing demerit points, corrective actions may be meted out according to the severity of the offence, as determined by the Principal. Consequences may be meted out for very serious offences based on the following guidelines. Boys Girls 1st offence Caning on the palm in the Principal’s office plus suspension Internal Suspension 2nd offence Caning on the palm in the classroom plus suspension 3rd offence Caning on the buttocks in the school hall during assembly plus suspension Internal / External Suspension

Immediate suspension for students will be meted out under the following circumstances:
When the safety and well-being of the teachers and students are threatened When the offender has committed an act against the law. Note: The school reserves the right to consult the Police on very serious offences.
