3 Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research Overview of FNLCR FNLCR is a Federally Funded Research and Development Center –Established in 1972 –Only FFRDC dedicated to biomedical research –1,900 employees Proudly operated by Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. (formerly SAIC-Frederick, Inc.) on behalf of the National Cancer Institute –Research studies on behalf of NCI, NIH, USAID –Predominately sponsored research to accelerate the translations of science into medicine for patients with cancer and AIDS Main campus on 70 acres at Fort Detrick –Provide administrative, technical, procurement, financial, safety and facilities support to operate the Lab –Advanced Technology Research Facility (ATRF) off Gas House Pike (~300,000 sq ft research facility) –Vaccine Pilot Plant (located off of Rt 85)

4 Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research What We Do… The FFRDC Contractor supports the entire facility to include infrastructure support, laboratory operations and maintenance, supply chain operations, security, operation of onsite occupational health clinic, etc. These functional responsibilities include those for other onsite contractors as well as the on-site Government employees Subcontracting/outsourcing plays a large role in the day to day operations of the facility and our research (worldwide) Requires: –Quick reaction –Reasonable and competitive cost solutions –Timely delivery of products and services
