2 Overview of CUNY & CUCF  CUNY – The City University of New York Nation’s leading urban public university. 23 Colleges and Professional Schools located throughout New York City serving more than 480,000 students. 290 buildings with 26 million square feet of space. Ongoing renovation of existing structures and construction of new facilities.  CUCF – The City University Construction Fund NYS public benefit corporation that provides facilities for and supports the educational purposes of CUNY. For a number of procurements, CUCF acts on behalf of CUNY and executes the contracts.
