4 Urbanisation Growth in the number and sizes of urban areas. What is an urban area?

5 Economic Activities Taking raw materials, making products, selling them. Transportation. Services –Banking, insurance etc. TRADING GOODS AND SERVICES

6 Administrative Government Taxation – revenue commissioners Passports, licences, grants, etc. County Councils water management etc.

7 Social Activities Provision of housing and community services and leisure facilities. Theatre, cinema, sports centres, stadiums, tennis/soccer/golf clubs.
