15 Registration Action Form Apply for registration to NZ council (BT) Papers available online http://www.teacherscouncil.govt.nz Pg 33 http://www.teacherscouncil.govt.nz It is your responsibility to make sure all documentation is up to date and all appraisal forms are sighted and signed by you and the Principal Go through the checklist to help guide you

16 Teacher Competency What happens when the professional standards are NOT met? – Procedures are clearly laid out in the Employment Agreement contract All teachers are given a chance to finish or complete any given area with in school support You must inform the principal and they will then inform the NZ council

17 Advice and Guidance programme and Teachers’ Council. It is important to note that should the Teacher’s Council require evidence of BT’s advice and guidance programme at the end of the 2 years provisional registration when they are recommended for full registration, they DO NOT ask the Tutor Teacher or school for copies, they ask the BT “the Teachers’ Council intends to exercise its right to view advice and guidance programmes …if this is not provided, full registration may not be granted.”
