What is Aurasma?

Create Your Account 1.Go to https://studio.aurasma.com and setup accounthttps://studio.aurasma.com 2.Request product upgrade – send an e-mail to freeupgrade@aurasma.zendesk.com freeupgrade@aurasma.zendesk.com In the Subject line enter Include your Aurasma user name and e-mail address You will receive an e-mail telling you to log out of your account Once you login, the upgrade will be available to you

Create your Account…. Go to ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT > USERS Add Users ** User names are Case Sensitive (so make the all lower case!) **These users are able to use your Aurasma Studio Account If you want students to have their own accounts, you have to have them setup accounts themselves. My suggestion is to setup a generic user for your class and have everyone use that login You can use your e-mail address for all accounts since students don’t have e-mail addresses

Login to Aurasma App on iPad Open App Swipe past tutorial Login as the user you setup at studio.Aurasma.com

Follow a Channel On the iPad open the Aurasma App Click on A (bottom center) Click on person icon (bottom right) Make sure tab is highlighted Click Search and type lclark (or any channel you want to follow) Choose Aurasma Class Click Follow Now test my Aura!

Steps to creating an Aura 1.What is your Trigger Image (poster, piece of art, piece of furniture) 2.What is your overlay (student speaking, map, cover of a book) 3.Create your overlay 4.Create Aura 5.Post Aura to your public Channel 6.Add users to your account 7.Have users follow your public Channel

Create an Aura – Trigger Image A Trigger Image is the image that will set off your Aura (ie. Poster or piece of art) Must be a stationary object Should be on a flat surface (wall or table) Should have lots of contrast (shapes, colors) Should not have large areas of any one color Cannot have anything that changes (like windows in a building)

Create an Aura - Overlays An Overlay can be a picture, a video, a sound track, etc. It is best to create your Overlay on your iPad If you can’t create the Overlay on your iPad, you can use DropBox to transfer the content to your iPad
