22 Social Media and College Acceptance Colleges and employers are trending more and more towards using social media to recruit and research! According to HuffPost Ed… 27% of admissions officers used Google or Social Media to screen students. 35% found something that negatively impacted chances. Don’t put too much stock in deleting things. Use your online presence to highlight your interests/activities and supplement your application.
