8. Theory on John Wayne Gacy – Behavioral Throughout Gacy’s childhood, his father was an alcoholic and abuser as stated before. He was beaten and punished for the littlest things by his drunken father. He was violently molested before he turned thirteen. He wanted to be accepted by his family. At school, he was bullied because of his weight. He wasn’t accepted by anyone or anywhere that he went. So when he was old enough and had the opportunity, he ran away from the hatred. He went to Las Vegas to find a job and traveled all over the United States to find a job after college. Eventually, the memories of his childhood began to haunt him. Before, he went on his killing spree in the 70s, he was convicted of sexual assault to a 15 year old boy. After that incident, Gacy went on a rampage of sexually molesting young men and killing them. If he hadn’t experienced what he did in his early years of life, maybe Gacy would be alive and doing well with his family. Unfortunately, Gacy went on and murdered 33 victims and he was sentenced to death.
