Fireworks above Victoria Harbour, floats parade, window-dressing, flowers, lion dance, etc. Ends with the "Spring lantern festival" - Bun festival (May) : Taoist in origin. On Cheung Chau island. Eight days of festivities including a children's traditional costume parade and Chinese operas. - Dragon Boat Festival (Tuen Ng, June) : regatta for boats decorated with dragon heads, held to the rhythm of the drums. - Mid-Autumn Festival (September) : a popular family festival. These are the city's liveliest, most commercial districts, as interesting for their atmosphere as for the shopping possibilities they offer. A mix of traditional and tourist- oriented markets. Tsim Sha Tsui : the Kowloon promenade provides a very beautiful view of the bay and the skyscrapers of the business district. 6 HONG KONG - China North of Hong Kong island: Central: the Hong Kong business district. A true American-style "downtown" with buildings stretching as far as the eye can see. The most iconic one is the Two International Finance Center tower, the highest on the island (414 meters, 88 floors). Hong Kong Park : a 10-ha green haven with ponds, lawns and aviaries. Victoria Peak : an amazing 360-degree view that will give you an idea of the city as a whole. A must-see for panoramic view enthusiasts. 7 HONG KONG - China South of Hong Kong island: Aberdeen: Hong Kong's biggest floating island. Originally a fishing village, it's a gathering of junks and sampans that are home to the locals.
