MEMBERSHIP 2014-2015 Page 5 Monterey Bay Chapter serves the zip codes of 939 (Monterey county) and 950 (San Benito, Santa Cruz and Santa Clara counties). Of the potential 1,252 prospective members living in the these 4 counties, 189 are in Monterey, San Benito and Santa Cruz counties. The remaining 1,063 live in Santa Clara county which is geographically served by the Silicon Valley Chapter of PMI. STATUS For 2014-2015 on a month-to-month basis, membership varies between 95-100 members As of March 2015 currently 95 members Members with PMI certification (one of 3 variations) – 65 (68%) GOALS Increase chapter membership to 110 members 80% of chapter membership with PMI certification (88 members)

NEW CCR PROGRAM-STARTS DECEMBER 2015 What’s New in the CCR Program The overall framework of the CCR program remains the same. Certification holders will continue to earn PDUs in the categories of Education and Giving Back. How PDUs in those categories are classified will be different. Education 60% of PDUs are now required in this category, providing you with additional educational opportunities. Education PDUs are aligned with the PMI Talent Triangle. A minimum number of PDUs must be earned in Technical Project Management, Leadership, and Strategic and Business Management categories. Giving Back The maximum number of total PDUs to be earned in this category has decreased. Activities remain the same: Volunteering, Creating Knowledge and Working as a Professional. The total number of PDUs to be earned in Working as a Professional has decreased. Page 13

PDUS DEFINED Technical Project Management: Knowledge, skills and behaviors related to specific domains of Project, Program and Portfolio Management. Leadership: Knowledge, skills and behaviors specific to leadership-oriented skills that help an organization achieve its business goals. Business and Strategic: Knowledge of and expertise in the industry or organization that enhances performance and better delivers business outcomes. Page 14

LEADERSHIP TRAINING Training and mentoring is crucial in order to be good resources for our members Leadership Institute at PMI Congress (past locations: Vancouver, BC, New Orleans, Phoenix) Region 7 Leadership Institute (Past locations: Hawaii, Santa Clara, Las Vegas, Mexican cruise) Region 7 Mentor -Tony Appleby PMI.org -gives us money to send people to this training, and the chapter pitches in as well. (Our opinion) We need to send more people Page 19
