2 CONTENT * OBJECTIVE * CONCEPT * EXECUTION
* BRINGING ART AND TECHNOLOGY TOGETHER * MULTI-CHANNEL COMMUNICATION * CONCLUSION

3 OBJECTIVE TWO-FOLD Make people aware of the toxic, non recyclable elements that various products consist of. Provide them with eco friendly/green alternatives, to further avoid the depletion of natural resources

4 THE WORLD IS IN YOUR HANDS
Today, in the era of smart phones, it is easier to be aware of the toxic elements polluting the world. Even easier, is to create a green world, by using smart phone applications to socially engage people. Thus, the world today, is in our hands. And our mobile phones too. The use of mobile phones to spread the message of Greenpeace is the most effective channel.

5 EXECUTION Combine barcode reading applications (an open source application available on all smart phones) and barcode art to encourage people to use eco friendly, green alternatives instead of products (which contain toxic elements) used on a day to day basis Step 1: Collect data of eco-friendly substitutes for products widely used / available in the supermarket. Step 2: When you scan the barcode of the product, you can see a less toxic, green alternative available. A display of various options that can be used. This is branded by Greenpeace or can be used in green color denoting an initiative of Greenpeace.

6 EXECUTION In order to increase the number of green alternatives available, we can use social media to get people to contribute their green ideas. This can be done in the following way: * When the user scans the code, his activity with the product information is uploaded on social media sites like Facebook, Twitter etc. * People add comments and contribute/find ideas for green alternatives. It is like an open discussion panel. * The people who contribute their ideas will be rewarded by Greenpeace accordingly. * They will get Greenpeace merchandise or become ambassadors of Greenpeace. Thus, creating a green revolution among social network users and simultaneously generating the database for our application.

7 BRINGING ART AND TECHNOLOGY TOGETHER
With the help of barcode art and the data base collected, we can use the centre fold of the Greenpeace magazine to display it. ( The printed art will have specific instructions to use the app. When they viewer scans the barcode, on the piece of art he will be able to see the green alternatives for various products (which usually have toxic elements in them).

8 MULTI-CHANNELCOMMUNICATION
This is a multi-channel communication using various media to influence people to choose the green alternative. * Mobile Application – Greenpeace branding integrated with barcode reading app * Social Media Communication – Facebook and Twitter to instigate discussions on green alternatives * Website: Build information of green alternatives available * Print: Centerfold of the magazine with the use of barcode art * Events - Bi-yearly events can be conducted for various contributors on the website to come and display their innovations in person. * Hoardings: Barcode art to be displayed on hoardings and bus shelters.

9 CONCLUSION Save the planet with a touch, by using the mobile phone. After all, its in our hands to build a green world.
