11  Wear clean clothes/apron  Remove jewelry  Do not handle food when sick

12  Cover and refrigerate food that is not in use  Food can not be left out of the fridge more than 2 HOURS!  Do not handle food with open wounds  Do not eat while preparing food

13  Do not chew gum  Do not wear nail polish  Ensure all counter surfaces are clean  Ensure all utensils are clean

14  If food falls on the floor, THROW IT OUT!!! (The 5 second rule doesn’t apply!)  When cutting raw meat, never use a WOODEN cutting board – bacteria can seep into the wood  Cook meat thoroughly – NO PINK!  When preparing meat, always wash everything that the meat has touched, including your hands!

15  You are a restaurant owner who has just hired a new employee.  They need to be taught a few things about food safety.  Create a skit with you, the owner, a cook a customer a server showing the do’s and don’ts of Food Safety!
