20 OPAM : Office of Proposal & Award Management Changes coming to NIH Changes include: Updates to application guide instructions for preparing research strategy attachment. “Authentication of Key Biological and/or Chemical Resources” attachment (uploaded in Other Attachments section of R&R Other Project Information form). 41 Update on the New eIRB Nightly Migration Process Underway & Ongoing… Just over 1000 studies with outstanding actions remain in old eIRB. Will migrate to new system nightly, as these actions are completed Goal: All studies migrate to new system over the coming months, and no later than the next continuing review. 43 Reminder of what’s new! IRB Coordinators can’t make changes to the Smart Form for you. HelpText now available with lots of good info. UPs and PDs now combined and called ‘RNI’. Routine ‘Close to enrollment’ happens in eCRIS, not eIRB. Terminology Alert! –‘Terminate’ now called ‘Close’, at which point it can be found in the ‘Archived’ list. 44 Reminder of what’s new! No longer separate pathways for: Request a Waiver of Oversight to another IRB – answer ‘yes’ to Q7 and provide External IRB info. Future Human Subjects (FHS) – regular study, upload FHS form in lieu of a protocol. Request a Determination (RFD) – regular study, upload RFD form in lieu of a protocol.
