3 Facts About Deaf Culture
Deaf people introduce themselves with their first and last name. This is to help know who is related or have friends in common. Using your voice to talk to another hearing person instead of signing is rude. Many Deaf people enjoy telling stories. Deaf people are typically blunt.

10 Important Deaf People- Thomas Hopkin Gallaudet
Thomas Gallaudet was born on June 3, 1822 – August 27, 1902 in Conn. Trinity College in Harford Teaching at NYID-M 1864- Gallaudet's youngest son, Edward Miner Gallaudet, built the first college for deaf students and became the college's first president.

Born: 27 June 1880 Birthplace: Tuscumbia, Alabama Died: 1 June 1968 (of natural causes) Best Known As: blind and deaf woman who became a famous activist

Born: February 24,1973 in Dothan, Alabama Become deaf: about 18month old. She won Miss America Pageant in 1995. School: Central Institute for the Deaf, Alabama School of Fine Arts & Hoover High School . Marriage: John McCallum Children: two children in Atlanta, Georgia
