1. The adventures of Bob and Billy! By Luca and Ronan

2. One breezy Autumn day, Bob and his best friend Billy were working on the Hillhead Primary building site.

3. They were getting very hungry but Bob still had to work the crane.Billy was silly and walked under the crane, luckily he had his hard hat on when a bit of stone fell off the crane, if he didn’t have it on he would have been hurt. Silly Billy!

4. Bob shouted down to Billy, “Lucky you had your hard hat on mate” but Billy was still too relieved to speak. Then Billy went to get lunch for them both, they had chips and cheese (yum yum!)

5. After there yummy lunch Billy took a shot at working the crane and Bob made some cement for a wall that he was about to build. Billy gave Bob a fright and he dropped his tools on his foot. J’ust as well I have my big boots on’, thought Bob.

6. It was getting dark but Bob had to go to the toilet. Billy was getting bored outside waiting so he decided to go back and try and finish some work on the site. Just as we was about to go Bob came out they both decided to go anyway because Bob left his newspaper.

7. They were just about to cross the site when a van came whooshing past!!!! It almost hit Bob but then the driver saw his hi-vis vest and stamped his foot on the breaks! “that was a close one” said Billy to Bob “ tell me about it” replied Bob.

8. They were very tired and went home and when they switched on the tv they saw IVOR GOODSITE! The fabulous builder. He was talking about wearing safety equipment when your on a building site. “lucky we did today” said Bob to Billy “lucky we did” replied Billy.
