2 Force and Motion Foldable
Foldables are three-dimensional, interactive, student-made graphic organizers. As one folds paper, cuts tabs, and manipulates what they have made, one is involved in learning quickly to organize, display and arrange data making it easier to grasp concepts, theories, processes, facts, and ideas, or to sequence events as outlined in the content standards. Purpose: to create a foldable to organize and display the concepts of changes in motion. Materials: 1 sheets of white paper 1 sheet of colored paper (optional) Textbook Colored pencils (possibly markers)

3 Procedure: Using the 1 sheet of white paper, construct the 3-Door foldable. Optional: Place the colored sheet on the outside as a cover. 2. On the back of the white page write your: Name Science Class Period 3. Label the tabs of the foldable as follows: • Speed • Velocity • Acceleration 4. Construct the sections of the foldable – be sure to include the following information in each section:

Important vocabulary words included Information is clear and easy to understand Illustrations and diagrams add to the explanation of information Student has shown understanding of the science concepts Grammar – All words are spelled correctly, correct punctuation and capitalization VISUAL Title and foldable parts labeled Organized placement of information and illustration Legible writing Attractive Illustrations CREATIVITY Something different or unique EFFORT Does it look like the student took great pride in making this book the best he/she could make it?
