1 OBJECTIVE: SWBAT Identify social structure in Ancient Mexico by watching video on La Encomienda Entry Task Who has power at Dimmitt? Directions: Draw a Pyramid with those with the MOST power at the top and those with the LEAST power at the bottom.

2 What have we done this week?  Learned that the Olmec, Maya & Aztec civilizations were quite accomplished  Annotated a secondary source to discover that Cortes’s arrival in Mexico had a negative impact on the Aztecs and surrounding tribes  Corroborated primary sources to determine whether the Aztec gold Cortes hauled away was a gift or stolen  The Spanish are here… so, now what?!?
