1 Unit 2 ICT Job Role

2 ICT manager An ICT Manager has to plan, organise, control and coordinate with everyone, and they would help to design ICT- related activities of the company as well as provide administrative direction and support. The ICT manager would also have to report to the Operations Director and they would have to work closely with decision makers in all different departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions, they would also have a successful relationship with the third party ICT suppliers. They would need solid technical knowledge of the network and PC operating systems, it would not be essential to have experience across any of the following- Windows 2008 server, Windows 2003 server, VMware, Exchange 2010. it would be best to have experience in working with the third party ICT suppliers and to have experience in the ICT infrastructure planning and development.

3 Project management They have a responsibilities of planning and closing any project typically relating to architecture, computer networking or software developing. Excellent communicator, highly motivated and have a positive attitude, they are important to companies as they lead on the identification, development and implementation of new and upgraded ICT systems which improve service performance. Six G.C.S.E grades at A-C in order to start a training course.

4 Systems Analysts They research problems, plans solutions and recommends software and systems to meet business and requirements, they are familiar with multiple variety of programming languages. It must have good interpersonal and communicational skills, work on their own or in a team, meet deadlines use initiative and have a logical mind. They are important to companies because they need to meet business needs within budget and in time. You need four G.C.S.E. at grades A-C for your to start your training.

5 Website Designers They would design the website make it look how they want it to by adding pictures. They can be involved in maintenance, they must have a creativity and imagination, need to pick up new techniques and have good communication skills and they must keep up to date with everything, with the advances in computer technology. You would require 4 G.C.S.E. at grades A-C to start your training.

6 Software Developer A software developer that is concerned with software development process and their work would include researching and designing. They would take part in design of computer programs and software project manager. A software developer is often overlooking by a guided leader. you might also be responsible for the replacement of the whole system. Most employers would want to see a BTEC at the very least, but some companies run trainee programs which you would get a AS level, and you would need to make sure that your CV is up to scratch. You would need you would need 5 GCSE's A*- C grade to start your training.

7 Network Manager They check the activities procedures and tools as well as keeping the network up and running. The job includes monitoring the network to spot problems as soon as possible. They must have good leadership skills and team work skills, they are very important to companies as they insure that every think is working an running smoothly and quickly. You would need good G.C.S.Es in English, maths, ICT and science in order to start training.
