5 ONE LORD Try to envision Calvary— Concentrate of the # 1. Understand “Lord”—Ruler, Master, etc. In baptism, Christ is enthroned. Ro. 6 Jn. 14:6—the way, truth, light Mat. 28:18—has all authority Col. 1:18—head who rules the body Eph. 5:30—as members, subject to Him

6 TWO THIEVES At Calvary, there were 2 malefactors Jesus, numbered with transgressors. Isa. 53:12 Their death—due reward On the middle cross… One Who had done only good. Acts 10:38 Dying for others’ sins. I Tim. 2:6

7 THREE CROSSES Three crosses on Golgotha (Calvary) Cross of rebellion. Lk. 23:39 Cross of repentance. Mk. 15:32; Lk. 23:40-43 Cross of redemption. Heb. 9:15,26; I Pet. 1:18

8 THREE CROSSES Himself sinless, Jesus suffered as an ordinary sinner. 2 Cor. 5:21 Purchased the church. Acts 20:28 Healing by His stripes. I Pet. 2:24

9 FOUR GARMENT PARTS Soldiers divided His garments. Jn. 19:23-24 Not so regarding the thieves’ garments Jesus, no ordinary criminal—souvenir Our “souvenir”—bread and fruit of the vine

13 Conclusion “In remembrance of Me.” May these things help us do so. L.S. is to be observed in His kingdom by its citizens. No significance to non-citizens. Are you in the kingdom?
