Communications, Problem Solving, and Multidisciplinary Teamwork were the most important and the biggest gaps. Consider a college-wide effort to partner with industry to make drastic improvements in these areas the next three years (workshops, panels, etc.). Repeat this survey each Spring to track progress Give ABET something that will knock their socks off!! COE Assessment Survey8

9-10: Promoters – (81%) People who are selling your programs through word-of-mouth 7-8: Passives – (19%) People who are satisfied, but have reservations about recommending the program to others. Usually not satisfied with one or more aspects. 1-6: Detractors – (0%) People who are probably saying negative things about the program. COE Assessment Survey10

Projects based on class research or class design projects were less impressive than projects based on real industry projects. They did not demonstrate skills industry was hoping to see. Consider using real industry projects as much as possible so students wrestle with real situations, data, problems, people, and challenges. COE Assessment Survey11
