1 COUNTABLE -T here is 2 kind of words in English: countable and uncountable. -Countable nouns are for things we can count using numbers. “I have 2 dogs” “She ate 3 apples yesterday” “They have 4 friends” -They have a singular and a plural form. The singular form can use the determiner "a" or "an. “She owns a house” “She owns 2 houses” “She owns an umbrella”

2 UNCOUNTABLE UNCOUNTABLE - Uncountable nouns are substances, concepts etc that we cannot divide into separate elements. We cannot "count" them with numbers. For example, we cannot count "milk". We can count "bottles of milk" or "litres of milk", but we cannot count "milk”. -We often picture these nouns as one big thing which is hard to divide.
