How the air plane flies By Danae, Payten

When an air plane takes off. When an airplane takes off it thrust is pushing the plane so it can get fast enough. And since the planes wing is shaped like a tear drop on the top the air has to go faster on the top so you get low pressure and the air has to be slow on the bottom because It is not curved on the so it does not have to go as fast. So the plane can be lifted into the air.

When the plane is in the air the arrows in the slide show you how the air moves the top arrow represents fast moving air( low pressure) and the bottom arrow represents slow moving air( high pressure). And the high pressure has to be on the bottom because it hold the plane up and if it was on the top it would push the plane down and it would crash. And another reason is that the top of the planes wing is round so the air has to get over it at the same speed so it has to go faster.

The air is moving closer to the air plane.

The air is going under and above the air plane. Using Bernoulli principle.

Bernoulli's Principle Bernoulli said that fast moving air equals Low pressure and slow moving air equals High pressure

Gravity Gravity is one of the forces pushing down on a airplane. But because of the shape of the wing the plane is able to stay in the air.

Thrust Thrust comes from the planes engine and so it gives the plane thrust so the plane can move forward.

The end Thank you for watching
