8 Steps to finishing program: 1.Apply to program 2.Enroll to the required university 3.Pass the medical test 4.Pass the 3-week SELECTION CAMP 5.Get the security clearance 6.Get sworn in STEP 1 For three / four years: Pass all the university academic criteria Pass all the MoD academic criteria Pass all the military training Pass all medical and fitness tests STEP 2 Finish Basic officers course (9 months) STEP 3

9 Cadets academic requirements  Enroll continuously every academic year  Gain more then 45 ECTS annually  Transfer less then 5 exams to next academic year  Cadets may be allowed to repeat one academic year if there were special circumstances  All decisions made by the MoD cadet monitoring group

10 Cadet military training requirements 1. year - Summer camp 1 (4 weeks) Basic soldiers skills Basic sailors skills Basic leadership skills Initial branch training 2. year Winter camp 1 (1 week) Basic skiing skills Summer camp 2 (3 weeks) Final branch training Advanced leadership training 3. year Winter camp 2 (2 weeks) Survivability and warfighting in winter conditions Preparation for OBC (2 weeks)

14 LESSONS LEARNED – HOPES AND DESIRES

15 LESSONS LEARNED  Introduction to other cultures and exposure to foreign languages.  Growing appreciation and understanding of other militaries efforts and progresses.  Deeper understanding of the nation behind the weaponry, what drives them, motivates them, what breathes in national pride.  Drawing from the military historic lessons as the prerequisite for attaining new ones.

16 LESSONS LEARNED – CONT.  Experiences from training with the other militaries gives them sense of self-value in comparison to others.  It enables them to test their own skills and knowledge and adapt it to the new circumstances.  Test the ability to live, work and “fight” in the new and changed environment, food, living and sleeping conditions.
