3. W HERE IS SITUATED THE C OROBAI SCHOOL Our school is situated in a rural area, in Corobai village, Dragotesti commune, Gorj county, Romania. The Dragoteşti commune is located in the north-eastern part of Oltenia, the Getic plateau, West of the middle of the course right for Jiltului, a tributary of the Jiu River. Educational levels are as follows: four classes of kindergarten, five classes for elementary school, and seven classes of middle school. We have within the school a traditional dance troupe, made up of 30 students. They have participated in various regional competitions and have won many awards. We have also created an optional class where are trained a band of 10-15 students, who plays to the whistle( flute/pipe).

THE OBJECTIVES OF PARTNERSHIP ARE: To develop European partnership between different schools in Europe; To establish new relationships with teachers in foreign countries; To share European experiences; To submit your own village/town, your own traditions and own country, to have a positive attitude about the European culture; To raise the level of awareness of European cultures among partners; To exchange knowledge and needed to discover new techniques for teaching careers; To keep up with modern methods of teaching in Europe; To facilitate the social integration of students with the elements of culture; To encourage students to learn and to understand different culture ; To increase the motivation of students to do research about the local history, culture and folk dances to share such information with other partners; To discover different types of music and dances from others cultures and to encourage students to promote national cultures and values; Students to be aware of their cultural heritage and their role in promoting it.
