2. Storyline Online http://storylineonline.net/ Storyline Online is a free program from the Screen Actors Guild Foundation. Each book is read aloud in an online video by a well known actor or actress. Lesson plans and activities are included for each title.

3. Children’s Literature @ Web English Teacher http://webenglishteacher.com/childlit.html Children’s Literature @ Web English Teacher provides information on well known authors of books for children and teens. Each author’s name links to information about that author, as well as additional lesson plans and activities involving various titles.

4. Loud Lit http://loudlit.org/ Loud Lit adds audio to public domain classic literature. Each title is available for download or can be read in a web browser.

5. Kids Corner at Wired for Books http://wiredforbooks.org/kids.htm Many Beatrix Potter stories are presented in several formats through Kids Corner at Wired for Books. Books can be viewed with illustrations and words, as well as with audio. Various languages are also available.

6. Light Up Your Brain Audio Stories http://lightupyourbrain.com/audio-stories-for- children.html Light Up Your Brain provides free audio stories in MP3 format. Children can listen to stories through the website or on any audio device once the stories are downloaded.

7. The Exquisite Corpse Adventure http://www.read.gov/exquisite-corpse/ The Exquisite Corpse adventure is a project of the Library of Congress. A popular author writes a bi-weekly “episode,” or chapter, that is then published on the website with an accompanying illustration. The project is ongoing and will conclude after a year’s time.

8. Children’s Books Online: The Rosetta Project http://www.childrensbooksonline.org/ Children’s Books Online dubs itself the largest collection of antique books online. Classic children’s stories are shown directly from scanned images and include text as well as illustrations.
