3 UMR Success Indicators  Average starting salary of undergraduate students over $51K  576 different employers from 37 states recruited the UMR student population  12% increase  10 th in the nation for number of doctoral engineering degrees granted to women  22 nd in the nation for number of engineering degrees granted

5 Student Design Teams  Solar Car Team finished in fourth place in the 2005 North American Challenge  Solar House Team finished seventh in the 2005 Solar Decathlon in Washington, D.C.  Mucking Teams placed second in the 2006 Men’s and Women’s Intercollegiate Mining Competition after winning world championships in the two previous years  Formula Race Car Team placed eighth in the 2006 SAE Formula West competition, which featured 708 teams  Human-Powered Vehicle Team won the East Coast championship for the fifth year in a row  UMR students won the American Ceramic Society’s 2006 national mug drop contest  UMR students won first place in a helicopter design competition sponsored by the American Helicopter Society
