5. How did Hector die? He had a one on one battle against Ajax until nightfall. Neither won so they handed each other a gift at the end of it. Achilles pursued Hector around the walls of Troy three times before catching him. Apollo abandoned him and left him for Achilles to leave a mortal blow. Hector pleaded to return his body to his father.
