5 TNHS Graduation Requirements Earn a total of 225 credits Pass specific subject requirements  English: 40 credits (4 years)  Math: 30 credits (3 years)  History/Social Science: 30 credits (3 years)  Laboratory Science: 20 credits (2 years)  Fine Art or Language Other Than English: 10 credits (1 year)  Career Technical Education (CTE): 10 credits (1 year)  Physical Education: 20 credits (2 years)  Health: 5 credits (1 semester)  Electives: 60 credits

6 Graduation Credit Check Juniors in good academic standing should have 120 credits to date Minimum number of credits required for junior status is 105 See your counselor for transcript review

9 UC/CSU Eligibility Requirements (“a-g”) a. History/Social Science – 2 years b. English – 4 years c. Math – 3 years* (Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II) d. Lab Science – 2 years* (1 year life & 1 year physical) e. Language Other Than English – 2 years* (same language) f. Visual & Performing Arts – 1 year g. College Prep Elective – 1 year *additional years of subject recommended Must earn a “C” grade or better both semesters

10 Am I Eligible for UC/CSU? Minimum of 15 yearlong “a-g” courses in grades 9-12  Seven of these courses must be taken in the last two years of high school Minimum GPA of 3.0 in “a-g” coursework SAT Reasoning Test or ACT with Writing

18 Early Assessment Program (EAP) EAP helps students determine readiness to take college level English and math courses before attending a CSU or participating CCC All juniors will take the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) in the spring Students must mark the release button at the end of both tests
