3 Legal Issues in Photography There are several legal issues which effect this sector. For example: Copyright – If a company/brand has professional photos taken, these photos become property of the company and the photographer. This photo means that these photos are inaudible for use by the public and if the photos are wanted for use in advertisement etc. They will need permission from the owner and may have to pay to use it. You automatically get copyright protection when you create sound and music recordings, film and television recordings, broadcasts and web content/databases. Privacy – You cannot take pictures of people, or their items/belongings etc. without their permission. This can come under harassment.

4 Organisations that help this sector There are many agencies/organisations that help the photography sector, a main one is the British Photographic Council. This organisation helps by, protecting peoples rights, helps to promote photography work, represent their views on photography to the government and they encourage the use of photography.

There was another for a Photography Sales Advisor, and they said they were looking for a photographer who would be interested in being a Brand Ambassador and they needed knowledge of cameras and how the cameras work. They also would receive training on the job.
