What? Today, we continued our research on our chosen Cornerstone Piece, we got our learning journals up to date, we made sure all our documentation was uploaded to our digital portfolio and we invited our assessing teacher to view the portfolio. I was able to do more research, get up to date with my learning journal and I uploaded documentation to my portfolio. So What? I learnt how to upload documentation to my digital portfolio and I am starting to do more efficient and time saving research. I was expecting to get lots of new work but we were told to finish off any unfinished tasks, do research, upload documentation to our digital portfolios and we had to invite a teacher to view our portfolio. I liked that we didn’t get huge amounts of work but I didn’t really enjoy doing more research. I learnt that they were hard working and some of them seemed to speed through some of the work.

Now What? I learnt a few things from uploading my documentation to my digital portfolio to improving on my Google searching skills. I can apply this learning to future scenarios and these skills could come in handy, especially in the future. I would like to learn more about all the websites and programs that we have used throughout the Collaborative Unit so far. I would need to ask questions, watch tutorials more than once and try my absolute best to address any challenges or difficulties. If I could do the project again, I would do a bit more research so that I could have more knowledge and information.

Sample Reflection Questions The most satisfying parts of my Cornerstone Piece are that whatever I learn from this experience could benefit me in the future and because I’m researching about Melbourne Water, it is a very important issue due to the drought in Melbourne over the past few years. The successes of my project would be that I have gained more knowledge and understanding of Melbourne Water and of programs such as Microsoft Excel. Because of my Cornerstone Piece, I am continuing to learn new skills and these skills can be used for future situations if needed.

What happened today? Today, we were given an Introduction to Phase 3 letter, we viewed Tutorial 17 called ‘Putting it All Together’ and we started our actual Cornerstone Piece. I was able to achieve a few things such as watching the tutorial and getting a good start on my actual Cornerstone Piece. So What? I didn’t really learn a new skill today because today we had to apply the skills that we have learnt to our actual Cornerstone Piece. I was expecting to do more preparation work for our Cornerstone Piece but I was kind of glad that we got to do the actual thing today. I liked that we were allowed to start our actual Cornerstone Piece but I didn’t really enjoy watching the tutorial. I learnt that they were hard working and they had a good understanding of their Cornerstone Piece.

Now What? I learnt more about Melbourne Water when I was doing a bit more research for my Cornerstone Piece. I can apply this learning to future assignments or projects and the information that I have collected could be useful in other projects that I do in a few years time. I would like to learn more about Melbourne Water so I would be able to know more information on things like the water supply and water storage levels. I would need to ask more questions and watch tutorials more than once to address any challenges or difficulties. If I could do the project again, I would do a bit more research into the topic so I could add more information to my report.

The successes of my project are that I have learnt how to use a lot of programs and websites and I have learnt lots from this experience. Because of my Cornerstone Piece, I am gaining more knowledge on Melbourne Water and everything I learn from this unit will be useful for the future.

What? Today, we continued on with our actual Cornerstone Piece. I was able to get about half of my Cornerstone Piece done and I have been able to get some of my learning journal complete for this week. So What? I didn’t learn a new skill today because we have already learnt most of the skills that we need for our Cornerstone Piece. I was expecting to have other worksheets to complete but it was good that we were allowed to continue on with our Cornerstone Piece. I liked that we were allowed to continue on with our Cornerstone Piece. I learnt that they are well into their Cornerstone Piece and some of them look very focused.

Now What? I didn’t really learn anything else but I looked through my research notes and I learnt a few new things about Melbourne Water. I can apply this learning to other projects or homework tasks if needed. I would like to learn more about the programs and websites that we have used. I would need to try my absolute best to address any challenges or difficulties. If I could do the project again, I would change some parts of my report because I think I could’ve added more detailed information. Sample Reflection Questions The most satisfying parts of the Cornerstone Piece are that we have learnt so many new skills and every time we learn a new skill, we gain more knowledge.
10
The successes of my project are that I have learnt how to use a lot of Microsoft Office programs and some of them I haven’t used before. Because of my Cornerstone Piece, I am gaining lots of knowledge on Melbourne Water which may become useful in the future.

What? Today was one of our last days to work on our actual Cornerstone Piece. I was able to complete my Cornerstone Piece so I completed more of my learning journal for this week. So What? I didn’t learn a new skill today because I have completed my Cornerstone Piece already. I was expecting to get other worksheets to complete but we were allowed to continue on with our actual Cornerstone Piece which was good. I liked that were allowed to continue on with the Cornerstone Piece. I learnt that some of them were close to finishing their Cornerstone Piece.
12
Now What? I didn’t really learn anything new today. I can’t really apply this learning because I didn’t really learn anything new. I would like to learn more about all the programs and websites that we have already used. I would need to ask more questions and try my absolute best to address any challenges or difficulties. If I could do the project again, I would probably do more research so I could add more detailed information to my report.
13
Sample Reflection Questions The most difficult parts of the Cornerstone Piece would have to be the amount of work that we get every lesson but after a while, you get use to it. I was a bit disappointed with the amount of research I’ve done but I think my report was pretty good. Because of my Cornerstone Piece, I am getting better at using programs such as Microsoft Word and Powerpoint.
14
What? Today, was the last day for finishing off our actual Cornerstone Piece. I was able to completely finish off my Cornerstone Piece and I continued on completing my learning journal. So What? I didn’t learn a new skill today. I was expecting to get more extra work but the teachers let everyone continue on with their Cornerstone Piece. I liked that we were given lots of time to complete our Cornerstone Piece. I learnt that lots of people had nearly finished their Cornerstone Piece and some of them have already finished it.
15
Now What? I didn’t really learn anything new today. I can’t apply this learning because I didn’t really learn anything new today. I would like to learn more about Melbourne’s water supply. I would need to watch tutorials more than once and ask more questions to address any challenges or difficulties. If I could do the project again, I would change the style of writing for my report so it would look more interesting.
16
Sample Reflection Questions The most difficult thing about the Cornerstone Piece would have to be getting the information because some websites didn’t have the information I needed. The successes of my project are that I have learnt lots from this experience. Because of my Cornerstone Piece, I am gaining more knowledge which could be used for future situations.
