2. The Body’s Control Center The nervous system carries messages to and from the brain. It controls senses, thoughts, movements and bodily functions.

3.  The cells that make up the nervous system.  Send and receive information in the form of electrical charges.  There are 3 types of neurons  Sensory, Interneurons and Motor Neurons

4. Nervous System Parts Central Nervous System or CNS consists of the brain and the spinal cord.  Brain is the command center- controls most body functions.  Just the Brain Facts! Just the Brain Facts!  Spinal Cord is a long bundle of neurons that relays messages. Peripheral Nervous System (PNS)  Nerves that connect CNS to all parts of the body.
