See what your students RIT ranges are: Instructional Resources Class By RITClass By RIT Then click on the subject area Then click on goal (computation, algebra, etc.) Or you can click on individual students –Show example if needed

Select the subject and goal, then RIT.

After selecting the RIT, objectives will appear.

What do you do with the data? Once you have the RIT… Choose the measurement topic (goal) –Comprehension, informational text, narrative text, word recognition/word study

Chose the prefix that when added to a word best completes a given statement Select the appropriate homophone to complete the sentence (they’re, their, there) Identify synonyms Identify antonyms

How to choose group RIT range If you don’t know the kids start in the middle. Use corrections and extensions to reach all students in your group. As you see them use FAP (formative assessment process) to adjust. If they are somewhat together teach to the high (should always be rigorous). You can always scoop the other ones up.
