Your Name Make sure your name is written on both the front and back cover of your notebook. I can’t give you a grade if I don’t know who you are.

Table of Contents On the first page we will create a table of contents. Every time we add something to the notebook it will be added to the table of contents first.

Notebook 101 Everyday that our note book is used the date will be added. Both the front and back of each page will be used. No skipping around – start at the front of the notebook and work our way to the back. No markers that will bleed through. Skip a line or two between dates not a whole page. Don’t rip pages out of the notebook.

How my notebook is graded. Everything that goes in the notebook is a grade! Neatness counts! In-class assignments will be graded for completeness and accuracy. Each assignment will be worth a point value (between 5 and 50 points) Your grade will be given as a fraction (5/5 or 15/20) Your grade will be written in your notebook whenever it is graded.

Why is this important? Your notebook is basically your grade!! It shouldn’t leave the classroom …that way you can’t lose it. As the class moves along it records everything that you have learned along the way.
