2.  A brochure needs to be either…  One piece of paper folded into 3 rd’s to create a tri- folded brochure. Information should be on all sections (front and back)  2 pieces of computer paper folded in half and made into a pamphlet (sort of like a book, but shorter amount of pages). Information should be on all parts, except the back. Now, for some examples…

7.  A catchy title that gets the readers interest  At least 3 illustrations. These can include a flag or a map.  Information about why colonists should or shouldn’t break away from England, including what benefits would be gained.  Color incorporated somehow to make the brochure more appealing  Either a tri-fold piece of paper or two sheets of paper folded like a booklet (pamphlet)  Arranged in a chronological order that makes sense  Neat and minimalistic- Don’t put too much info in one small space that makes it hard to read, but make sure to put enough info to convince me of your point of view.

It is not attractive. Grammar (grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and spelling) There are no grammatical/mechanical mistakes on the brochure. There are 1-2 grammatical/mechanical mistakes on the brochure. There are 3-4 grammatical/mechanical mistakes on the brochure. There are more than 4 grammatical/mechanical mistakes on the brochure.

9.  A poster needs to be either….  A tri-fold science fair board that we will stand on a desk in the hallway for display  A poster board that will hang in the hallway for display Now, for some examples… (I had a hard time finding exactly what we want online for examples, so most of these are just to give some ideas of things to include, but none of them are done to our specifications. Refer to the requirements slide and the rubric for guidance in what all needs to be included.

10. This has a lot of great elements. Not quite as neat as I’d like, but it has a catchy title and some good elements.

11. You can bring in things to sit on the table in front of the Tri-fold poster board to add some pizzazz to your project, but it is not required.

12. This is an example of a neat way to incorporate 3D elements. This is NOT required, but can add to the project immensely.

13. This, again has some good elements that can be incorporated, but is not enough on it’s own.

14. Here is an example of a map that could be used. Make sure you don’t use one that shows the battles of the War, as it has not happened yet.
